Shiva Parvati Temple



         In this temple unusual images that are carved on the cornice of this temple .They are image of soldiers with guns. It is the only temple where you can see soldier with the guns. In the time of  Bahadur Shah Nepal even have to fight against the Tibet and to win that fight Bahadur Shah start to built this temple but before he complete the temple ,fight began so to get blessing of the lord Shiva for his soldiers ,he put the image of soldiers with guns on the cornice of this temple .It is a two-storied temple in the style of Harmya Style which was built towards the end of the 18th century by the King Prithavi Narayan Shah’s second son Bahadur Shah who was the gaurdain of his nephew King  Ranbahadur  Shah .Bahadur Shah considered responsible for strengthening the reunification process started by his father.   This little uncommon shrine is built on the a three step brick platform .The two wooden figure Mahadev (Shiva) and Parvati looking from the open central window on the first floor .The ground floor which has five doors in line contains the image of NavaDurga, the goddess of power .All the doors are decorated with Torans, which contain intricately carve image of the goddess to whom the ground floor of the temple dedicated.
