Dakshinkali Temple Nepal was built by Malla King at around 14 century ago. The temple is situated towards the south west corner of Kathmandu valley in a very remote, tranquil and uphill location just far from 1 km outside the valley of Pharping. Which is exactly 22 km far from Kathmandu Valley and popularly known for the goddess Kali. The temple is one of the sacred Hindu temples. There is an interesting myth about the temple. Goddess Kali was appeared in the dream of contemporary Mall king and she ordered him to make a shrine. The king promptly obeyed her command and made his subjects to erect a beautiful temple in a designated location and desired style in accordance with the command given in his dream by Goddess. Since then, Dakshinkali Temple has become popular until now. We can notice the considerable numbers of Hindu devotees in Dakshinkali temple every Saturday.
